Owner & Lead Facilitator, Oregon Medical Mushrooms
I’m Jennifer Joy Joseph, the founder and lead facilitator at Oregon Medical Mushrooms. Originally from California, I’ve always been driven to help people thrive. After playing one year of collegiate volleyball, a time that sparked deep self-exploration, I worked as an Autism Behavioral Specialist. I also served as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, supporting children and adults on the autism spectrum. I spent over a decade in the mortgage and auto finance industries, which taught me resilience and the value of meeting people where they are.
In 2020, as the world paused, psilocybin found me. This sacred medicine helped me clear blocks from anxiety and reprioritize my life. I began facilitating small group sessions in West Hollywood before moving to Oregon, just as the laws had changed, and then trained at the Entheogen Institute to become a licensed facilitator. To deepen my knowledge, I earned a Master’s Degree in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Pharmacy in 2024.
Along with my private psilocybin facilitation practice, I also train therapists, doctors, and other medical providers as a facilitator for the Integrative Psychiatric Institute. I founded Oregon Medical Mushrooms with the hope of providing psilocybin services to all who seek this transformative medicine and of being a resource for other facilitators in this growing field.
I truly believe psilocybin has the power to change the future of mental health care.
At Oregon Medical Mushrooms, we believe that healing happens in community. That’s why we’ve built strong relationships with healthcare providers, doctors, and therapists to ensure our clients receive truly integrated support. We put people first—fostering connection, collaboration, and a deep sense of belonging.
